Hi Jason! I’m seeing false positive in APM, when monitoring the WWW windows service.

The monitor becomes warning, but the service is up. Did you see this happening?

In reply to marhoum. There are a couple of things that can cause this problem. If it is a Cisco device, make sure interface index persistence is on. If it is on, I would suggest removing the SNMP monitors and rescanning the device. No such instance indicates a successful SNMP connection, but the instance (specific counter) you're looking for isn't there.

device active monitor state constantly Down, with message: no such instance.
I tried this solution above, but the problem not fixed.
the SNMP is good configured.

Thank you. Hopefully this setting change cuts back on false positives in the middle of the night. Someone’s going to shoot me if it doesn’t:)
